I built PensionChart because I needed it myself

Hi, I'm Marco, the founder of PensionChart.

I've spent most of my career moving around the world. Along the way I built up pension entitlements in multiple countries: Canada, Italy, the U.S., and the Netherlands. For the longest time I had no clear idea what any of it would actually add up to in retirement.

Every country has its own rules, its own retirement ages, and various portals in different languages. I'd sit down to make sense of it all, open multiple government websites, try to line up numbers and dates, and close my laptop none the wiser. The financial advisors I spoke with were each excellent within their own country, but lost the moment you crossed a border. Nobody could give me the full picture.

Eventually I got frustrated enough to start building the thing I wished existed: one place to simply see and understand everything related to my pensions, on a single timeline. That immediately raised a hundred questions about each country's specific schemes and rules, so I added a country directory. And because the people who understand this problem best are other expats living it, I added a community section.
