How it works
End to end, with the manual parts named. There is no adviser dashboard in any of this, and the absence is deliberate rather than unfinished.
1 · You give a client a code
You buy a block of 10 and hand one over — in person, by email, however you like. You tell us nothing about who gets which. That is the whole mechanism, and it is what stops us becoming a processor of your client data: we cannot hold what we were never sent.
2 · They redeem it in their own account
They go to pensionchart.com/redeem, create an account with an email address and no password, and enter the code. It unlocks their full picture.
You cannot do this step for them. Not as a convenience we haven't built — the redemption endpoint grants the entitlement to the signed-in person and takes no parameter for granting it to anybody else. There is no field anywhere in PensionChart for an adviser to enter a client's name or email, and that is the design, not a gap in it.
3 · They build the picture
They enter where they've worked and upload whatever statements they have. Documents are read automatically and the figures extracted from them are shown back for confirmation — the client accepts or corrects each one, and that choice is what the report later labels as confirmed or corrected by you. Where there is no document, we compute from the country's published rules and label it as such.
This is the manual part, and it is theirs. How long it takes depends entirely on what they can lay hands on.
4 · They share a read-only view with you
The client creates a link, sets how long it lasts and whether it needs a passcode, and can revoke it whenever they like. You see the picture; you cannot edit it, and neither can we on your behalf. If the link expires while you still need it, they re-issue it — we will not do that for you, because it is not our permission to give.
5 · You file it
Export the PDF. Every page carries the attribution, the date the data was current, and the line telling whoever reads it next to verify with the scheme administrator — so it still says what it is once it has been forwarded twice and opened a year later. Per-figure source labels come with it.
See a full example before you decide whether that is the document you need.
What is automatic and what is not
Automatic: reading documents, computing entitlements from country rules, currency conversion, deadline tracking, and re-verification of the country data on our side. Manual: everything requiring a human decision — which statements to upload, whether an extracted figure is right, and every confirmation. We do not auto-accept a figure on a client's behalf, because an unchecked number that looks checked is worse than an obviously unchecked one.
What we never do
We do not contact schemes, make claims, chase administrators or act for anyone. We show where the record is and how to get it, and the official route is free and named every time we name a paid one.
